  My wife and I stayed here for three days. Immediately on arrive we noticed the place generally was not of the same quality as advertised on the website. Worse, the cabin was not cleaned properly, the outhouse was nearly full to the top, the garbage cans were full to the top when we arrived, and the recycling was over full. We brought up an issue with the hand towels smelling not clean. The host Lisa dismissed the complaint and didn't offer new dish cloths or hand towels. I was concerned that the bedding may not be clean since nothing else was not cleaned and Lisa said it was "weird" of me to bring it up and left. Also, you are expected to clean the cabin before you leave and "leave the cabin better than you found it". This is intended to meet Lisa's "mission" which seems to be make the most money for the least amount of work humanly possible. For the amount that we paid - more than many of the hotels and B&B's that are in the are, we expected much better service. I have no problem with being off the grid, but I expect a better effort in the cleanliness, service, presentation, and quality for this price. In the off season, you can camp for free at the rec site down the road. And your living area will be cleaner and better kept. Or you can live in comfort near the beach for cheaper, and at most places will also get breakfast. I like the concept of the beach cabin and off the grid, but have higher expectations for the price, and the host was not accommodating to out concerns. But the beach near the cabins is beautiful. That's what earns the extra two stars.
